Right now I do mostly raids and instances. I have Glyph of Moonfire and Starfire. My Moonfire initial crits are only about 300-400 and my ticks are around 600. This is with about 1.1k spell power. Great for raids and instance, not so much for solo. I do love having infinite Moonfire as I spam Starfire and slide in Insect Swarm when needed. I can usually get 4-5 Starfires off, refreshing IS when needed before I have to throw another Moonfire in to start over. Depends on what you plan on doing. PVP or PVE mostly? Thick Hide is great for PVE. It has 2 added bonus'. You and your pet receive a bonus to your armor. But in boosting your own armor by 10 You're also boosting your pet's armor, so your pet receives an even bigger boost from this talent then you do, since your own stats spill over onto your pet. We had no idea what his abilities are, didn't research it, and a guildy and I (both hunters, he's 70, I'm 67, both MM) decided, "lets see what we can do, maybe the pets can tank and if not, we can FD and get out of it".
